A small but very enthusiastic group checking out waterbugs collected today from the Lerderderg River, at the Mineral Springs Reserve, Blackwood.  Some of the cute critters included dragonfly and mayfly nymphs, amazing caddisfly larvae in special stick homes, round button mites and zipping-around water boatman.

There will be another “Waterbugs anyone?” morning, Wednesday, May 5, at 10 am at the Mineral Springs Reserve for those who are interested.
